I
was born and grew up in Oklahoma City. I graduated from the
University of Oklahoma with a degree in Economics and Mathematics
and was commissioned in the United States Army Reserve as a 2nd
Lieutenant. After graduate studies in Economics, served in
the Army Reserve and discharged as a Captain.
I
married Patricia Ruth Osborne while in college. We have three
daughters, two granddaughters and one grandson. In 1960 I
started in business in Norman as a Realtor, Homebuilder and Land
Developer. I have been a longtime member of the Norman
Chamber of Commerce, Builders Association of South Central
Oklahoma, Norman Board of Realtors, Norman Rotary Club and The
University of Oklahoma Presidents Association.
I
have, since a boy, been intrigued by artwork, especially oil
paintings. My father collected some fine oil paintings which
I always enjoyed "studying." I have never had any formal
training, other than instructive books on oil painting on
canvas. I started actively painting several years ago, and
have done numerous paintings since then. I enjoy painting
landscapes, seascapes, Native American subjects and some
still lifes.
