"Jamie McCarty and the Technicolor Army" Fashion Show

Friday, July 18th at 8pm
The roots of the fashion show began years ago while on a trip to Las Vegas where Jamie encountered a going out of business thrift store. There she purchased thirteen uniforms of the same style; all together the uniforms cost her ten cents. After sitting in her closet for over four years they are coming to life in Jamie McCarty and the Technicolor Army. The theme of the fashion show evolved from a digital project given to her at Parsons where she was inspired by the Flaming Lips’ “Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots”. This collection showcases Jamie’s version of Yoshimi and her army as they battle their way through psychedelic outer space. Sponsors for this event include Republic Bank & Trust, the Kirkpatrick Family Fund, Copia on the Corridor and Gaijin Sushi.
