Amy Coldren

Amy Coldren is a mixed media artist, focusing on collage and illustration.  Her work primarily consists of bits of paper, both old and new, used to create vivid patchwork patterns.  She is almost entirely self-taught and is continually inspired by the world around her.  Love, nature, family and a sense of nostalgia are themes found throughout her work. 

Amy founded Project 8256 in February of 2007 in an effort to assist her sister and brother-in-law as they work towards adopting their first child from Ethiopia.  All profits from items sold through Project 8256 go directly into their adoption fund, and to AHOPE, an orphanage in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, that cares for HIV+ children.  Items can be found online at project8256.etsy.com and at Blue 7 in Oklahoma City.
